    Air Tightness Testing (also called air permeability, air leakage or air pressure testing) measures the rate at which air leaks through the external building fabric. It matters for energy efficiency and has been a mandatory part of UK Building Regulations since 2006. Trace performs accredited testing to current standards.

    Level 1 and Level 2 testing

    Trace provides air tightness testing for both property levels:

    • Level 1: dwellings or non-residential premises up to 4,000 m2 gross envelope area
    • Level 2: commercial buildings over 4,000 m2 gross envelope area
    How we work

    On-site support and re-testing

    Our experienced technicians mobilise at short notice and work to your programme. If a test fails to meet requirements we advise on site, and where remedial works can be carried out immediately (expanding foam, silicone or caulk) we aim to re-test straight away to secure a successful outcome.
